Day 23 of 365 Things To Around Gig Harbor: Susanne’s Bakery & Deli

Day 23: Walk the waterfront along Harborview drive until you find Susanne’s Bakery & Deli. A modest building roosted just above the Gig Harbor waterfront, serving up wholesome goodness from scratch. Cookies, pastries, soup and more are made fresh everyday. Today, April 18, is forecasted to be near 70 degrees; take advantage of the walking weather while you can. It’s back to the mid-50’s for a while, yuck!

Whether it’s a morning pastry, a panini and side of fresh soup or one of their cakes topped with fresh whipped strawberry cream that melt in you mouth … you won’t be disappointed!  Sit on their deck, bring the paper, people watch as they stroll by with family, pet or both in tow and enjoy the view; yet another reason to love Gig Harbor!

p.s. Don’t worry about the calories, with any luck … they’ll fall off on the walk home 🙂

  1. Robin Bowers says:

Do you ever throw in a coupon/ discount for the places you refer?

    • Tom Tuttle says:

The thought has certainly crossed my mind; however, I don’t want to anyone to get the idea that the suggestions are motivated by what places are willing to offer…potentially a conflict of interest. What are your thoughts?
