Day 25 of 365 Things To Do Around Gig Harbor: Teaching Toys/Maybe Ben & Jerry’s

Day 25 of 365 Things To Do Around Gig Harbor: Took the kids to Teaching Toys Too and bribed them with Ben and Jerry’s!

Considering the weather(especially relative to the past few days), I wanted to take the kids somewhere fun. So, we hopped in the ol’ mini-van and headed to Teaching Toys Too (Proctor’s brother/sister/cousin/?).

Upon entry, I made a deal: be good and a scoop of creamy goodness at Ben & Jerry’s awaits!

They played with lots of toys, checked things out,  asked to buy one of everything :), and pushed the envelope only once before being reminded of the “Deal”. We left Teaching Toys Too without spending any money… to the dismay of the shop owner, I’m sure. Although, I have purchased a few toys from their in the past. It’s certainly a refreshing change from Toys R Us; very few noise makers! And true to their name, most toys there do teach and have value.

The boys devoured their cones…at this age it’s pretty simple: “banilla” & Chocolate. I have a hard time stepping out of the Rocky Road “box”.

All in all … good family fun in Uptown. Yet another reason to love Gig Harbor.
