Day 35 of 365 Things To Do Around Gig Harbor: TGIF

Day 35: TGIF … it’s a busy weekend and rather than post 1 thing today, I am posting all events for tomorrow so that you can plan accordingly! First, it’s the 100th Birthday celebration for  Skansie Net Shed beginning at 10-4 with live entertainment, food and lots of fun! Oh, and if you haven’t voted, please do so (see Facebook post on wall). Happy birthday!!!

For the early riser, hit the Farmer’s Market beginning at 8:30am. Weather should be decent (so they say). Enjoy locally grown produce!

For all you boat enthusiasts, tomorrow is opening day for boating season! Be on hand to witness the “lofting of the Thunderbird Sailboat” from 9-5 (you may want to verify time) at the Gig Harbor Boat Shop…  http://www.gigharborboatshop.org/. For those of you lucky enough to have your own boat, get out there … and enjoy; nothing better than a bustling Harbor.

Tomorrow night at 7PM, don’t miss the tip off for the Gig Harbor High School Alumni basketball game @ GH. It’s always fun to see if the “has bens” can hang with the youngsters…hopefully, they won’t end up like the folks in this picture 🙂

Art Walk from 1-5pm tomorrow. Be sure to register and enter for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate! Walk along and discover art at any of the 7 participating galerries, enjoy downtown Gig Harbor or stroll by Skansie’s 100th birthday, Gig Harbor Boat shop and enjoy a beautiful day in Gig Harbor…yet another reason to love it!
