This is an incredible park taking 20 years of planning with 98 acres (most undeveloped) , 20 acres are devoted to football, soccer, baseball and tennis along with meticulously planted gardens, outdoor venues, 3 miles of trails and a huge children’s’ playground suitable for all abilities! The park was funded by $6.5 million PenMet Parks bonds and private and public contributions, including a $100,000 Boeing-Mariners Care Ball Field Grant.
Don’t miss this event. Sehmel is an amazing addition to our Gig Harbor community and will provide a wide-range of opportunities and uses for our members. I, for one, am very excited about this and kids are going to love it! Yet another reason to love Gig Harbor…
