Gig Harbor Weekend Guide: Gig Harbor Rocks, St. Meatentine’s Day and more

Friggatriskaidekaphobia gotcha? Fear of Friday the 13th. Fear NOT, it’s going to be a great Friday in Gig Harbor! With sunny skies and temperatures topping out at 83 degrees today and edging toward the 90’s for the rest of the weekend, now is a good time to get out and enjoy everything Gig Harbor has to offer. Today, skip work early and tie up your boat at the Tides Tavern. Then have them deliver your meal/beverage to your boat(253) 858-3982 . Not a boat owner … no worries. There is plenty of seating inside.

Saturday  August 14th:

There are 2 events worth checking out: Gig Harbor Rocks in downtown Gig Harbor and St. Meatentine’s Day at the Harmon Tap Room in Tacoma (located just below the HUB on 204 St. Helens). Catch a glimpse of the activity for Gig Harbor Rocks…check out the YouTube video from a previous season. Discover the true meaning of St. Meatentine’s Day and how to celebrate it by watching this King 5’s New Day video of St. Meatentines Day.

Sunday August 15th:

Burned out on Men after the St. Meatentine’s Celebration … Eat. Pray. Love., a total chick flick, opens this weekend. NOT playing at Galaxy Theater in Gig Harbor, but plays just about everywhere else. Not sure why Eat. Pray. Love. can’t be found in Gig Harbor, but if you venture out for St. Meatentine’s, it’s only fair …

Life is good … in Gig Harbor!
